thanksgiving with the pres ;)

this year for thanksgiving we planned a road trip to washington d.c. with the family. it took a good thirteen hours to reach with all of the traffic plus the stops along the way. it was long, but a lot of fun to spend that time with my in laws. :)

we went to two museums, said hello to the president, and ate some really good food. and at the end of day two we decided to leave DC early. on the way home, we stopped for the night in raleigh, nc. stay tuned for my next post with more about our stay there. :)

throwback to september in seattle

i haven't updated my blog in a long, long time. i always get discouraged knowing that not many people read it. but then i realized that i'm not doing this for the reads. this blog is to document my adventures and other random things in life so i can look back at it one day, or even show my future kids, iA. it is so i don't forget these memories and these moments that mean everything to me. :)

anyways, saad and i took a trip to seattle back in september because he had to go for work and of course i tagged along.
no offense to anyone who lives there, but we didn't like seattle at all. the place felt congested. and the trees were not only everywhere, but also growing ON everything :/ they were growing on and in front of buildings and houses. it definitely wasn't one of my favorite places i've visited.

in the short time we had there though, we visited the boeing factory and the museum of flight. saad really loves learning about airplanes so he enjoyed that aspect of it. and i enjoyed the small french bakery we ate at and the starbucks (although those were also like the trees. they were everywhere).

 ^^cute rental car.

^^husband loves finding the headquarters to big companies like microsoft in the bigger cities we visit
also, i loved this night. late night drive, starbucks, and just another adventure with him :)

 ^^french bakeries = my favorite
