the windy city

for this year on thanksgiving, instead of staying home and hosting a turkey dinner, we decided to take a trip to the windy city. i admit it wasn't the best time to visit chicago because of the insanely cold temperatures, but we bundled up and it ended up being a lot of fun. :)

 ^^we were standing in a glass box 103 stories high! this was at willis tower. talk about conquering my fear of heights ;) also, we waited in line to do this for a good two hours. if i didn't walk out onto the glass box, i'm sure the husband wound't be very happy with me ;) lol

 ^^devon street was saadu's favorite. he got his fix of yummy desi food and too much paan this weekend. 

^^on the shuttle to the airport after an amazing weekend in chicago. we made so many memories here. and can't wait to visit again. :) 

lakers vs. hawks

november 18th is a day to remember. saad and i went to watch an nba game with some friends. and guess who was playing? LAKERS!!!
so i've been a lakers fan for the longest time. it turns out saad is also their fan. see how we're just mean tot be ;)
 it was so much fun cheering on our favorite team, and favorite player (kobe!!) in the middle of all those hawks fans. this was also my first time getting to see kobe play so i was beyond excited. :)

to top it all off, we ended up winning. what a perfect way to end the night. :)

labor day weekend

for labor day weekend, my in laws were making a plan to go to hilton head while saad and i made our own plans for myrtle beach. since we wanted to make it to both places, we spent the first two days with his family and the next two on our own in myrtle beach. it was my first time traveling with his family but i had a lot of fun :) we spent time at the resort, just relaxing in the pools and the cabana we rented. we also spent some time on the beach. it was a different experience with the kids. they make things a little more fun and entertaining. ;) i didn't take many pictures that weekend but here are a few from our labor day weekend.
